// APC Code of Conduct

Elite Standards for Trainers & Students
At Athletic Performance Centre, we do not operate as a commercial gym. We operate as a high-performance training environment. Standards are not suggested. They are expected. Every trainer and student represents APC, our athletes, and our culture the moment they walk through the door.

1. The Standard

AtAPC,professionalismisnon-negotiable.Youwill:

If you are on the floor, you are coaching — not observing.

2. Athlete First. Always.

Athlete safety and development override ego, convenience, and personal agenda.

You will:

  • Prioritise technique over load.
  • Progress athletes appropriately.
  • Intervene immediately when movement quality drops.
  • Protect athletes from unnecessary risk.
  • Escalate injuries or concerns without hesitation.

We build long-term athletes — not short-term highlights.

Negligence is unacceptable.

3. Youth Protection & Professional Boundaries

We work with developing athletes. That carries responsibility.

You will:

  • Maintain clear, professional boundaries at all times.
  • Avoid private communication with youth athletes.
  • Never engage in inappropriate physical or verbal conduct.
  • Report safeguarding concerns immediately.

Trust is earned through professionalism.

There is zero tolerance for boundary violations.

4. Communication & Leadership

Leaders do not complain publicly.
They elevate standards privately.

You will:

  • Speak to athletes with authority and respect.
  • Correct firmly but constructively.
  • Never belittle, embarrass or undermine.
  • Align with the coaching team.
  • Address issues directly — not through gossip.

Disunity weakens performance culture.

We protect the team.

5. Presence & Energy

Energy is contagious.

You will:

  • Coach with intent.
  • Move around the floor.
  • Observe actively.
  • Demand standards.
  • Hold athletes accountable.

Sitting. Scrolling. Spectating.
Not acceptable.

6. Social Media & Representation

You represent APC beyond these walls.

You will not:

  • Post athletes without written consent.
  • Share internal programming or data.
  • Discuss internal matters publicly.
  • Damage APC’s reputation through online conduct.

If in doubt — don’t post it.

7. Intellectual Property & Programming

APC programming is proprietary.

You will not:

  • Copy, replicate or distribute APC systems.
  • Share Teambuildr access.
  • Use APC content externally.

Our systems are built through expertise and experience.

Respect them.

8. Personal Conduct

APC has zero tolerance for:

  • Bullying
  • Harassment
  • Disrespect
  • Passive disengagement
  • Undermining leadership

High performance requires accountability and maturity.

If you have feedback — bring solutions.

9. Uniform & Presentation

Elite environments look elite.

You will:

  • Wear approved APC or university uniform.
  • Maintain clean, professional training attire.
  • Present with confidence and composure.
  • Carry yourself as a coach, not a participant.

Appearance builds credibility.

10. Growth & Accountability

APC develops coaches as seriously as athletes.

You will:

  • Accept feedback without defensiveness.
  • Own mistakes.
  • Pursue improvement.
  • Contribute to culture.
  • Raise the standard — not lower it.

Comfort does not create performance.

11. Breach of Standard

Failure to uphold APC standards may result in:

  • Immediate removal from session duties
  • Formal warning
  • Termination of placement or employment
  • Notification to university (for students)

Serious breaches (particularly safeguarding issues) result in immediate dismissal.

The Commitment

APC is not for everyone.
It is for those who value discipline, development and standards.

By signing below, I commit to upholding the APC standard — in behaviour, professionalism and performance.

  • Arrive early. (Minimum 15 minutes before session start.)
  • Be prepared. (Know the program. Know the athletes.)
  • Be present. (No passive coaching.)
  • Lead with energy and authority.
  • Model discipline in your behaviour, language and body language.
